The achilles tendon is truly the powerhouse of the lower body. Everybody is always working on their quads but without an intact achilles tendon – you won’t get very far!

Have you ever wondered why it’s called the Achilles Tendon?

The name “achilles” itself is actually rooted in roman mythology. Interestingly, as the story goes, there was a great and unbeatable warrior…or at least was thought to be unbeatable. He was finally brought down by the severing of his heel cord. His name was Achilles and he is who we have to thank for naming this tendon!

But, interesting facts aside, what this story tells us is that this is one important connection! For the purposes of this video we want to show you a test to see if your achilles may be involved. Now, in this video we show a more advance rehab drill for the achilles. The addition of the bands creates an unstable environment for our muscles to fire and an added challenge.
