Everybody is chasing the perfect squat and pushing the limits of just how much weight they can move. The reality of the squat is that it is not just for power-lifters, it’s a foundation movement that is as simple as sitting down and getting up from the toilet seat!
The Squat Series is our attempt simplify this complex movement into a joint by joint approach. We provide you with a test for each joint, followed by some remedies for that specific issue.
In our first episode we review just how the series will flow, how to do a proper squat and how to spot some common flaws. The big thing to remember is that there is NO SUCH THING as the perfect squat. Everyone’s anatomy and physiology are a little different and as such form will vary. The only way know the best practise for you is to get assessed by a health professional that you trust.
Mobility, strength, control and/or all of the above can be your limiting factor to achieving your goals. We hope this series will help you decipher how you can reach your squatting potential.
