Everybody is chasing the perfect squat and pushing the limits of just how much weight they can move. The reality of the squat is that it is not just for power-lifters, it’s a foundational movement that is as simple as sitting down and getting up from the toilet seat!

In this episode we focus on the ultimate squat warm-up! Many of us warm-up for squatting, by, well – squatting. This isn’t wrong, but it’s not optimal. It’s become common place that static stretching before weight training is not best practice for strength and performance, but a well-rounded dynamic warm up is ideal!

At this stage, hopefully you’ve worked your way through The Squat Series in it’s entirety to find out just where you limiting factors are. If you haven’t – it’s time to go back solve the mystery. But, what we do know is that in order to give ourselves the best chance for success we want to ensure we take all our joints through full range of motion.
